Notes on Tasks

There are two types of tasks.

Preset Tasks (PM Tasks): These are tasks to which part replacement/cleaning is registered in advance.

Operational Task: These are tasks that can be registered and customized freely by the customer.

Performing a Task

1Using the [System Messages] tile on the [Home] hub, select the corresponding task.

The task appears in the list when the maintenance time approaches. You can also select the corresponding task from the [Schedule] hub, or any specific one listed in the [Task] hub. For details, see Editing the Schedule.

2Check and specify the following items. Press "Next" to move to the next item.

Some items may not be displayed depending on the task.

You can check the units/tools required for the task.

Specifying Items in the Adjustment Settings for Operators

You can specify the Adjustment Settings for Operators.

Maintenance Mode

When executed, the power is turned off for everything except the control panel. Follow the displayed instructions, such as those to press [Power Off] before performing replacement or cleaning and to press [Power On] after performing replacement or cleaning.

Video

To play a video, click on it and then press the Play button. For details on the video, see What the Video Indicates.

Reset Counter

Be sure to press [Reset Counter] after replacement or cleaning.

3Press [Task Complete].

Registering a Work Task

1Press the [Task] hub, and then press [Switch to Execute Mode].

If [Switch to Manage Mode] appears, you can switch to [Switch to Execute Mode] by pressing [Switch to Manage Mode].

2Press [Add].

3Select [Create from Scratch] or [Use Template], and then press [OK].

If selecting [Use Template], select from [Select Template].

4Enter the task name, and then press [OK].

5Enter the required information.

6Press [Add Operation].

7Select the item type and then press [Next].

8Enter the required information, and then press [OK].

9Press [Save].

Using Templates

You can select work tasks other than preset tasks (PM tasks). Such work tasks include those to switch between different skew adjustment levels, changing the special color toner and changing the position of the special color toner.

1Press the [Task] hub, and then press [Switch to Manage Mode].

2Press [Add].

3Select the item from [Select Template], and then press [OK] twice.

4Enter the required information, and then press [OK].

5Press [Save].

Editing the Schedule

Note

1Press the [Schedule] hub, and then select the corresponding task.

2Select the corresponding operation.

Setting Items

Description

Cancel

Select to return to the [Schedule] hub.

Delete

You can remove only operational tasks from the schedule.

Confirm

You can check the preset task schedule.

Change

You can change only operational tasks and manually-preset tasks.
