Screen Device Settings

This section describes the settings in the [Screen Device Settings] menu under [System].

Items

Description

Screen Startup Mode

Specify which one takes priority, the time until the Home screen appears or the power consumption. When you specify [Normal], the machine uses less energy but take longer time to display the screen than [Quick].

  • Default: [Quick]

Screen SD Card Slot

Specify whether to enable the SD card slot on the side of the control panel.

  • Default: [Active]

Screen USB Memory Slot

Specify whether to enable the USB slot on the side of the control panel.

  • Default: [Active]

Recovery by Wireless Connection

Specify whether to recover from Sleep mode automatically when the machine is accessed from the mobile device.

  • Default: [Inactive]

Server Settings

Specify whether to enable the server function for operating the Web application. You can install a server certificate for SSL communication.

  • Default: [Active]

Application Authentication Settings

Specify the available application for each user. You can specify to inhibit the use of all applications related to Copy or to use only a part of application related to Copy.

Function Priority

Specify the mode to be displayed automatically when the power is turned on or when the machine is not used for a while.

  • Default: [Home]

Application Display Settings by Function

Specify whether to hide all applications related to a specific function. For example, when you specify to hide [Copier Application], not only [Copy] but also [ID Card Copy] are not displayed.

In the default setting, all functions are displayed.

Function Key Settings

Specify the function to assign the function key. The function key is specified inactive.

  • Default: [Inactive]

External Interface Software Settings

Specify whether to use the Bluetooth connection to the IC card reader or mobile device for authentication. When you use the IC card reader, you can select the type (USB or NFC).

  • Default: [Do not Use]

User's Own Customization

Specify whether to store the layout of Home screen or Application screen and the displayed language for each login user.

  • Default: [Prohibit]

System Bar Settings (Top / Bottom of Screen)

Specify the content displayed on the system bar and how to display it. You can change the following items:

  • Time to switch the display of messages

  • Whether to display the function key enlarged from the top of the screen

  • Whether to highlight the Login key and Energy Saving key

  • Whether to display the toner remaining instead of the clock.

Support Settings

Specify whether to display Help according to the displayed screen. When you specify Active, the "?" key is displayed at the top right on the screen. You can also specify whether to display the guidance screen when you press the "?" key.

  • Default: [Active]

[Back] Key

Specify whether to enable [Back] to return to the previous screen. [Back] may not function regardless of this setting depending on the type of application or displayed content.

  • Default: [Active]

Install Settings

Specify whether to allow installation of the application with the SHA-1 signature.

  • Default: [Active]

Initialize Screen Features Settings

You can initialize the settings of the control panel, such as the settings, home screen settings, and browser settings on the control panel.

Note

  • On machines installed with RICOH Always Current Technology v1.2 or later, you can specify whether to hide pages without icons on [Home Screen Blank Pages] when [Standard] of the setting screen type is selected.
