Before Replacing

The Maintenance Kit contains parts for maintaining the printer.

Replace all the parts included in the Maintenance Kit at the same time. Replace them according to the following procedure.

Turn off the power, and then unplug the power cable.
Wait at least an hour after power off to allow internal parts to cool down before replacing the Maintenance Kit.
Check the box contains the following items:
- Friction pad 3
  For details see "Replacing the Friction Pad".
- Paper feed roller 3
  For details see "Replacing the Paper Feed Roller ".
- Transfer roller
  For details see "Replacing the Transfer Roller ".
- Fusing unit
  For details see "Replacing the Fusing Unit ".
- Dustproof filter 2
  For details see "Replacing the Dustproof Filter ".

If three paper feed units are installed, the Feed Roller Kit in addition to the Maintenance Kit is required to replace the paper feed roller and friction pad in every tray. For details about how to replace these, see "Replacing the Friction Pad" and "Replacing the Paper Feed Roller".
