Cleaning Unit for Intermediate Transfer Belt

Replacing the Cleaning Unit for Intermediate Transfer Belt

1Pull out the drawer until it stops.

2Remove the screw, and then remove the cover of the cleaning unit for intermediate transfer belt.

Be careful not to touch the fusing unit because it may be extremely hot.

3Pull up the lever.

4Remove the screw.

5Pull out the cleaning unit for intermediate transfer belt.

6Push the new cleaning unit for intermediate transfer belt back into the machine.

7Secure the cleaning unit for intermediate transfer belt with the screw.

8Remove the two screws, and then remove the guide board.

9Release the two catches

10Remove the paper transfer unit.

11Turn the machine on.

Before turning the machine on, make sure the lever is pulled up, the cover of the cleaning unit for intermediate transfer belt is removed, and the drawer is pulled out.

12Access the Adjustment Settings for Skilled Operators menu.

13Press [Machine: Maintenance].

14Press [ITB Manual Lubrication].

15Press [Execute ITB Manual Lubrication].

16Press [OK].

17Push the drawer back into the machine.

Lubrication starts.

18Once lubrication is complete (after about three minutes), turn the machine off.

19Pull out the drawer until it stops.

20Pull down the lever.

21Reattach the cover of the cleaning unit for intermediate transfer belt, and then secure it with the screw.

22Attach the paper transfer unit.

23Secure the paper transfer unit with the two catches.

24Attach the guide board, and then secure them with the two screws.

25Push the drawer back into the machine.

machine illustration

26Reset the counter for replaceable parts.

Do not turn the machine on until you have read how to do so.
