Setting item | Description |

General Settings | Display Time Specify how to display the time.
Display Date Specify the format to display the date.

Authentication Settings | Specify the type of authentication to apply when authenticating a user. To remove restrictions applied on the machine usage, and use its various functions, the user must be authenticated before operating the machine.

Email Sending Settings | Configure the email server to use when sending an email to reset the password. Specify [Set] in [Email Sending Server], and then configure the email server.

Account Management | Register, modify, or delete a user account used when authenticating a user by Local Authentication or Remote Authentication, and register, modify, or delete the role assigned to the user. You can register up to 1,000 user accounts or 200 roles, in addition to the number of predefined roles and user accounts.

Printer Management | Register a Printer to the UI Server. When using an additional controller (DFE) that works with the printer, register the controller as well. To add a printer, press [Add], and specify the following:

Auto Logout Settings | Auto Logout Specify whether to perform auto logout if the logged-in user does not operate the machine for a certain period of time.
Auto Logout Timer When [Auto Logout] is set to [On], specify the amount of time until the user is logged out automatically.

Media ID Unit Settings | Specify the port number to be used when using the Media Identification Unit. Load the file of the port number from the folder in which you installed the driver for the Media Identification Unit. |
Security settings (1/4) | Configure the items below to enhance the machine's security. For details, see Security. User Lockout Policy User Lockout Specify whether to prohibit login for a user who has entered incorrect passwords consecutively.
Number of allowed login password entries When [User Lockout] is set to [Enable], specify the number of failed login attempts before the user is locked out. You can specify from 1 to 10 attempts.
lockout release timer Specify whether to unlock the locked-out user automatically. When this option is set to [Enable], specify the time to unlock automatically in [Time until lockout is released]. You can specify from 1 to 9999 minutes (approximately 7 days later).
lockout user Select the user to unlock from the locked-out user list, and then press [unlock] to unlock. |
Security settings (2/4) | Password Policy Password minimum length setting Specify whether to set the minimum password length. When this option is set to [Enable], specify the minimum number of characters from 1 to 15.
Password policy complexity setting Specify whether to increase the types of characters required in a password. When increasing the required types of characters, specify whether to use two ([Complexity 1]) or three ([Complexity 2]) types of characters from among uppercase and lowercase letters, base 10 digits (0 through 9), and symbols (such as "#") in a password.

Security settings (3/4) | Device certificate settings By default, a device certificate (a self-signed certificate) is installed to the machine. You can install an additional device certificate (a self-signed certificate or a certificate issued by a certificate authority).
List of certificates Create Self-signed Certificate Create a self-signed certificate using the machine and install it. Create CSR Create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to apply to the certificate authority for a device certificate. Install CA Certificate Install the CA certificate issued by the certificate authority. Cancel CSR Cancel the registration of the certificate after creating a CSR. Delete Delete the registered device certificate. Certificate to use Select the device certificate to use for the machine from the default self-signed certificate ([Certificate 1]) or additionally registered certificate ([Certificate 2]). |
Security settings (4/4) | Audit log settings Audit log transfer setting Configure the setting to transfer the audit logs stored in the machine to the Syslog server. Syslog Server Transfer setting Specify whether to transfer audit logs to the Syslog server. When this option is set to [Enable], configure the details of the Syslog server: [Syslog Server Address Type], [Syslog Server Port Number], [Validate Server Certificate], [Import Server Certificate].
delete the audit log Delete all audit logs recorded on the machine. Customer engineer login settings Prohibit login with customer engineer Specify whether to restrict login by a customer engineer.
