Changing the Parameter Settings (Standard)

Parameter Setting: Print List

Select this to print the parameter settings list. In the list, only the frequently used functions and the functions that seems to be important are printed.

Internet Fax/Email/Folder

Specify whether to use Internet Fax when sending a fax.

Also specify whether to use e-mail addresses or folders as the destination when sending faxes.

Sending and Receiving Documents by Internet Fax

For G3

Specify the type of the telephone line. If you are not certain of the line type, consult your telephone service provider. If this setting is not configured correctly, you can receive faxes but may not be able to send them.

This setting item does not appear in some countries or regions.

IP-Fax Settings

Setting Items

Description

IP-Fax Use Settings

Specify whether to use H.323 and SIP when sending a fax by IP-Fax.

  • Default

    • Enable H.323: [Off]

    • Enable SIP: [Off]

H.323 Settings

Specify the IPv4 address or host name of the Gatekeeper, and Own Fax No. Specify the setting when using H.323 for sending a fax by IP-Fax.

SIP Settings

Specify the IP address or host name of the SIP server, and the SIP user name. Specify the setting when using SIP for sending a fax by IP-Fax.

Register/Change/Delete Gateway

Register, change or delete a VoIP gateway. Register a gateway when routing the communication through the VoIP gateway without using the Gatekeeper or SIP server when sending a fax by IP-Fax.

Server Use Settings

Specify whether to use SIP server and Gatekeeper in IP-Fax.

Sending Documents by IP-Fax

Country/Region (For Function Settings)

Country/Region (For Function Settings)

Specify the country/region in which the machine is used. The country/region you specify determines the time and date display format and the default values of the fax transmission-related settings.

Security for Email Transmission Results

Security for Email Transmission Results

Specify whether to encrypt and attach a signature to an e-mail sent in the Email TX Results function.

Fax Email Account

Setting Items

Account

Specify whether to receive the Internet Fax. To receive the fax, specify Email Address, User Name, and Password. When [On] is specified for [System Settings][Send (Email/Folder)][Email][Auto Specify Sender Name], the e-mail address specified in [Fax Email Account] is set as the sender if you send an Internet Fax without specifying the sender.

Destination List per Line

Destination List per Line

Select whether to specify the line for the destination list displayed on the fax screen. Specify [Off] to display the line selection screen when you press [Fax] to open the fax screen, and display only the destinations for the selected line as the destination list.

  • Default: [Off]

Specify whether to display groups that contain destinations for other lines in [Group Destination Display Style] when [Destination List per Line] is set to [On].

  • Only Destinations with Selected Line

    Displays only the groups that contain the destinations for the specified line.

  • Include Destinations with Selected Line

    Displays groups that contain one or more destinations for the specified line. When you select such a group while specifying a destination, a confirmation screen is displayed prompting you to select whether to specify only the destination for the specified line in the selected group or cancel selection of the group.

G3 FAX Line Connection Check

G3 FAX Line Connection Check

Specify whether to detect if a fax line is connected and display a message on the control panel.

The default setting is [Off], but the setting changes automatically to [On] after you send or receive a fax even once. If the setting changes automatically to [On] and you then change it to [Off], the setting will not change automatically to [On] thereafter.

  • Default: [Off]

Super G3 Communication Settings

Specify whether to use Super G3 communication on each G3 fax line.

Notification Email Settings

Notification Email Settings

Specify the settings related to notification e-mails.

  • Reception Notice: Specify whether to respond to Reception Confirmation of an e-mail reception document.

    • Default: [Send]

  • Error Notice on Receiving Email: Specify whether to send notification e-mail to the sender when an e-mail reception error occurs.

    • Default: [Send]

  • Communication Record Email for Administrator: Specify whether to send communication record e-mails to the administrator.

    • Default: [Do not Send]

Destination Type Priority

Destination Type Priority

Specify the destination type to give priority when the destination of the type specified for transferring is not registered in the address book.

  • Paper Output Priority

    IP-Fax destination has the highest priority, followed by fax destination, Internet Fax destination, e-mail destination and folder destination.

  • Electronic Output Priority

    Internet Fax destination has the highest priority, followed by e-mail destination, folder destination, IP-Fax destination, and fax destination.

  • Default: [Electronic Output Priority]
