Interface Settings (Wireless and Networks)

This section describes the settings in the [Interface Settings] menu under [Wireless & networks].

Items

Description

Interface Settings

Specify the interface network for connecting the Mobile Device in Wi-Fi Direct mode, Wi-Fi interface on the Control Panel or Network Interface on the rear of the machine.

Change the network settings on the rear of the machine by [Machine Features Settings][Interface Settings] tab.

  • Default: [Machine Network]

Wi-Fi

This section describes the settings in the [Wi-Fi] menu under [Wireless & networks].

Items

Description

Wi-Fi

Specify whether to enable the Wi-Fi interface on the control panel.

When set to "ON", the detected Wi-Fi network is displayed. Select the connected network and enter the password.

When the Wi-Fi network you want to connect is not displayed, press [+], and then specify [Network Name], [Security], or [Password].

  • Default: [OFF]

Wireless Direct Settings

This section describes the settings in the [Wireless Direct Settings] menu under [Wireless & networks].

Description

Wireless Direct Settings

This setting is for connecting a computer or mobile device (client) to the machine via no access point. Specify the Wi-Fi Direct operation mode and connection password.

  • Default: [OFF]

Connecting to the Machine from a Mobile Device Using the Wi-Fi Direct Function

The [Wireless Direct Settings] screen includes the following setting items:

Device Name

The name of the machine displayed on the client screen. You can change the name by pressing [Rename Device].

Group Owner Mode

When you specify Group Owner Mode to ON, the machine functions as an access point and can be detected by multiple clients. When you specify to OFF, the machine is connected to one client.

  • Default: [OFF]

Connection Password

Specify the password for connecting the client to the machine.

DHCP Server IP Address

Specify when [Group Owner Mode] is set to OFF. When [Wireless Direct Settings] is set to ON, the control panel functions as a DHCP server. Specify the IP address of the control panel.

DHCP IP Address Range

Specify the range of IP addresses assigned to the clients. The IP address assigned to the client is effective for one hour.

Select Channel

Specify the channel for connection to the client from 1 to 11.

  • Default: [6]

Fix SSID

Specify when [Group Owner Mode] is set to OFF.

Specify whether to set the header text of wireless direct network name (SSID) as "DIRECT-zV-" or not. If this setting is disabled, two characters between "-" are specified randomly.

  • Default: [ON]

PEER DEVICES REMEMBERED GROUPS

Specify when [Group Owner Mode] is set to OFF. The connected client name is displayed. When you press the client name, the connection is disconnected.

REMEMBERED GROUPS

Specify when [Group Owner Mode] is set to OFF. The history of wireless direct connection is displayed. When you press the connection name, the connection is retrieved.

Bluetooth

This section describes the settings in the [Bluetooth] menu under [Wireless & networks].

Description

Bluetooth

Specify whether to activate the Bluetooth interface on the control panel.

  • Default: [OFF]

Available Devices

Display the list of detected Bluetooth devices. When you press the device name, the device is connected.

Paired Devices

Display the Bluetooth devices that have the connection history. When you press the device name, the device is connected again.

Proxy Settings

This section describes the settings in the [Proxy Settings] menu under [Wireless & networks].

Items

Description

Use Proxy

Specify whether the control panel uses a proxy server for communications.

  • Default: [OFF]

Proxy Address

Enter the proxy server IP address.

Port Number

Enter the port number for communicating to the proxy server.

Proxy Exceptions

Enter the addresses that are exceptions when you do not use the proxy server.

Enable Authentication

Specify whether to use proxy authentication.

  • Default: [OFF]

Login User Name

Enter the login user name for the proxy server.

Login Password

Enter the login password for the proxy server.

Port Forwarding to Machine

This section describes the settings in the [Port Forwarding to Machine] menu under [Wireless & networks].

Port Forwarding Settings

Specify whether to forward the Wi-Fi interface data on the control panel to the network interface on the rear of the machine.
