There are five types of user authentication methods: User Code authentication, Basic authentication, Windows authentication, LDAP authentication. To use user authentication, select an authentication method using Web Image Monitor or control panel, and then make the required settings for the authentication. The settings depend on the authentication method. First specify administrator authentication, and then specify user authentication.
If user authentication is not possible because of hard disk or network problems, you can use the printer by accessing it using administrator authentication and disabling user authentication. For example, you can do this if you need to use the printer urgently.
