Basic Procedure for Transmissions (Memory Transmission)

PreviousNext

This section describes the basic procedure for transmitting documents using Memory Transmission.

Transmission starts automatically after the original is stored in memory. You can also send the same original to several destinations (broadcasting).

Important

  • It is recommended that you call the receivers and confirm with them when sending important documents.

Note

  • If memory is full (0% appears at the upper right of the screen), Memory Transmission is disabled. Use Manual Transmission instead. For details, see On Hook Dial or Manual Dial.

  • If the combined total number of programmed destinations exceeds the maximum value, you cannot transmit documents.

  • If you press the [Clear/Stop] key or an original jams in the ADF during scanning, the pages of the same set of originals that have been already scanned and saved in memory are deleted.

  • If memory runs out during scanning, the machine stops scanning and a confirmation message appears. For details, see If memory runs out while storing originals.
