Pick up the handset of the external telephone and dial. If you hear a voice at the other end, continue conversation as normal.
An external telephone must be connected to the machine.
You can send only one page at a time when scanning using the exposure glass.
For SP 3610SF, you cannot scan two-sided originals when using this function.
You can only use the number keys of the external telephone to specify the destination.
Place the original, and then select the scan settings you require
Pick up the handset
You will hear a dial tone.
Enter the fax number manually using the number keys of the connected external telephone
The machine immediately dials the destination.
If you make a mistake, replace the handset, and then try again from Step 2.
When the line is connected and you hear a high-pitched tone, press [Start] to send your fax document
If you hear a voice, tell the receiver that you want to send them a fax document (ask them to switch to facsimile mode).
When the original is placed on the exposure glass, press [Start TX]
Replace the handset
If you want to cancel a transmission, press the [Clear/Stop] key, and then remove the originals.

You can also use the optional handset as an external telephone.
