Printing Received Documents from the Client-Side Machine

You can forward or route received documents from the remote machine equipped with a facsimile function. By registering the client-side machine without a facsimile function as a forwarding destination, you can print received documents from the client-side machine.

For example, you can make the remote machine forward the documents for the sales department to the sales department's machine, and forward the documents for the personnel division to the personnel division's machine. The sales department's machine and the personnel division's machine print the documents individually.

To forward or route received documents, in the Facsimile Features menu on the remote machine equipped with a facsimile function, configure the forwarding or routing settings in advance.

You can forward or route received documents per line or sender. For details about the necessary settings, see the following:

If you use "Remote Reception Setting per Line"

Select the line in "Remote Reception Setting per Line" in the Facsimile Features menu. Specify the client-side machine as the remote machine. For details about Remote Reception Setting per Line, see Reception Settings.

If you use "Remote Reception per Sender"

Register a special sender in "Program Special Sender" in the Facsimile Features menu, and then set "Remote Reception Setting per Sender" to "On". Specify the client-side machine as an end receiver in "Remote Machine". For details about Remote Reception Setting per Sender, see Special Senders to Treat Differently.

To specify a client-side machine as a destination, pre-register the IP address or host name of the client-side machine in System Settings on the remote machine.
