Enabling IEEE 802.1X Authentication

Follow this procedure to enable IEEE 802.1X Authentication.

Important

  • To use IEEE 802.1X Authentication, connect this machine to an authentication enabled port. If you do not, the authentication will fail.

1Press the [Menu] key.

The [Menu] screen appears.

2Press the [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] key to display [Host Interface], and then press the [Sharp Enter] key.

3Press the [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] key to display [Network Setup], and then press the [Sharp Enter] key.

4Press the [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] key to display [IEEE802.1X Auth], and then press the [Sharp Enter] key.

5Press the [Up arrow key] or [Down arrow key] key to display [Active], and then press the [Sharp Enter] key.

6Press the [Menu] key.

The initial screen appears.

7Print a configuration page to confirm the settings made.

Note

  • If Ethernet and wireless LAN are both connected, select which interface you want to use under [LAN Type].
