Use the following procedure to configure the machine for use as a facsimile with an external telephone.
Connect the machine to the telephone line.
Connect this machine to a telephone.
Make settings for line type.
Make settings for transmission.
Make settings for reception, such as the reception mode.
Register the destinations to Address Book if necessary.
Begin using the facsimile with the external telephone.
In step 3, the fax number and the date and time of transmission must be included in the header of all pages faxed to, from, or within the United States.
