Preparing for Replacing Maintenance Kit
If “Replacement of Maintenance Kit will soon be necessary.” appears on the system message widget, have a replacement maintenance kit at hand.

“Replacement of Maintenance Kit is now necessary.” appears when the maintenance kit needs to be replaced.
When you replace the maintenance kit, see How to Replace the Transfer Roller, How to Replace the Dustproof Filter, and How to Replace the Fusing Unit, or press [Check Status], and then press [Check] in the [Mach.Status] area in the [Mach./Applic. Stat] tab, and then follow the instruction on the screen.
When replacing maintenance kit, take the following precautions:
Keep enough space for placing old maintenance kit and new maintenance kit.
Prepare a new maintenance kit.
Work on tarpaulin sheets or cloths that can get dirty, and wear gloves and an apron, not to get your hands, clothes, or desk dirty.
