If the Machine Cannot Be Operated

If the following conditions arise while users are operating the machine, provide the instructions on how to deal with them.

Problem	Cause	Solution
Cannot perform the following: Print with the printer driver	User authentication has been refused.	Check the user name and login name with the administrator of the network in use if using Windows authentication or LDAP authentication. Confirm with the user administrator if using Basic authentication.
Cannot perform the following: Print with the printer driver	The encryption key specified in the driver does not match the machine's driver encryption key.	Specify the driver encryption key registered in the machine. For details, see Specifying a Driver Encryption Key.
After starting "Address Book" in Device Manager NX and entering the correct login user name and password, a message that an incorrect password has been entered appears.	"Drvr Encrp Key:Encrp Strng" is not set correctly. Alternatively, "SSL/TLS" has been enabled although the required certificate is not installed on the computer.	Set "Drvr Encrp Key:Encrp Strng" to [Simple Encryption]. Alternatively, enable "SSL/TLS", install the server certificate in the machine, and then install the certificate in the computer. User authentication is disabled, yet stored files do not appear. (This may happen when the optional hard disk is installed.)	User authentication might have been disabled without "All Users" being selected for user access to stored files.	Enable user authentication again, and select [All Users] as the access permission setting of the files you want to display. For details, see Managing Stored Files and Help on Web Image Monitor controlled from networked computers. (Web Image Monitor is a management tool installed on this machine to monitor this machine or configure settings for this machine by using a web browser.).
Cannot print when user authentication has been enabled.	User authentication may not be specified in the printer driver.	Specify user authentication in the printer driver. For details, see the printer driver Help.
[Finish Job and Limit] is selected in "Machine action when limit is reached", but the current job is canceled before it is processed.	Depending on the application you are using, the machine might recognize a job as multiple jobs, canceling the job before it is processed.	Reset the print volume use setting for the user by, for example, clearing the print volume use counter, and then perform printing again. For details, see Resetting Print Volume Use Counters.
