You can specify a fax destination by:
Pressing the corresponding destination key
Entering it using the number keys
Selecting it from transmission history
Specifying the registration number in the Address Book
Searching for it in the Address Book or LDAP server
This section describes how to specify a destination by entering it manually or selecting it from the Address Book.
To specify destinations using the Address Book, register them in the address book in advance. For details about registering fax or group destinations, see "Fax Destination" or "Registering Names to a Group", Connecting the Machine/System Settings.
The Fax Features menu includes a User Parameter (switch 17, bit 2) that enables you to configure the machine to force the user to press [Add] whenever s/he specifies a destination using a destination key. This prevents users accidentally sending documents to the wrong destination. See Parameter Settings.
The total number of destinations programmed in multiple groups should not exceed the maximum number of destinations you can specify per file, see Maximum Values.
A confirmation message appears if the specified group includes one or more destinations without a fax number registered. Press [Select] to specify only destinations with a fax number. Press [Cancel] to change the destination.
To cancel any destination(s) among the group, press [Expand Group] on the destination details screen. Select the destination you want to delete, and then press [Delete Destination].
