Checking Whether a Nozzle Is Clogged

Print the nozzle check test pattern to check whether the print-head nozzles are all ejecting ink properly, and, if necessary, carry out head cleaning or flushing.

1Print the nozzle check test pattern.

2If the pattern is patchy, clean the print-heads, then print the test pattern and check the result.

3Do not use the machine for at least 10 minutes, then print the test pattern again and check the result.

4Clean the print-heads, and then print the test pattern. Then, clean and print a second time, and then check the result.

5If the pattern is still patchy, flush the print-heads, then print the test pattern again and check the result.

6Do not use the machine for at least 10 minutes, then print the test pattern again and check the result.

7If the pattern is still patchy, leave the machine for about eight hours. Then, print the test pattern and check the result.

This should resolve the problem. If the test pattern is still patchy, contact your service representative.
