Printing in Black and White

You can print data using only the black ink. Color images are also printed in black and white.

1Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

2Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] icon (Operation panel screen illustration).

3Press [Machine Features].

4Press [Printer Features].

5Press [Right arrow key].

6Press the [RPGL Menu] tab.

7Press [Down arrow keyNext] until [81. Color Mode] appears.

8Press [81. Color Mode].

9Press [Black & White].

10Press [OK].

11Press [User Tools] (Operation panel screen illustration) on the top right of the screen.

12Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

13Print the data from the computer.

Note

  • When you print a black-and-white image in color, black areas may be printed using CMY+K inks in some cases. To print black color more clearly, select black-and-white mode for printing black-and-white images.

  • If black-and-white printing is specified in the application, make sure that you select "Black & White" in "81. Color Mode". If you select "Color", black areas may be printed using CMY+K inks in some cases.
