You can print data using only the black ink. Color images are also printed in black and white.
Press [Home] (
) at the bottom of the screen in the center.
Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] icon (
).
Press [Machine Features].
Press [Printer Features].
Press [
].
Press the [RPGL Menu] tab.
Press [
Next] until [81. Color Mode] appears.
Press [81. Color Mode].
Press [Black & White].
Press [OK].
Press [User Tools] (
) on the top right of the screen.
Press [Home] () at the bottom of the screen in the center.
Print the data from the computer.
When you print a black-and-white image in color, black areas may be printed using CMY+K inks in some cases. To print black color more clearly, select black-and-white mode for printing black-and-white images.
If black-and-white printing is specified in the application, make sure that you select "Black & White" in "81. Color Mode". If you select "Color", black areas may be printed using CMY+K inks in some cases.
