Printing in Pen Colors Specified on Control Panel

Using the control panel, you can specify the pen color that corresponds to the pen number used in the application.

Pen 1 is used as an example in the following procedure.

1Print the color sample.

For details about how to print the color sample, see Printing the Color Sample.

2Check the printed color sample, and specify the number of the pen color.

Specify the pen number using the numerical value under the patch indicated as "Color Number".

3Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

4Flick the screen to the left, and then press the [User Tools] icon (Operation panel screen illustration).

5Press [Machine Features].

6Press [Printer Features].

7Press [Right arrow key].

8Press the [RPGL Menu] tab.

9Press [9. Pen 1 Settings].

10Press [9-3. Pen 1: Color].

11Change the value using the number keys.

12Press [OK].

13Press [Exit] when you have finished the configuration.

14Press [User Tools] (Operation panel screen illustration) on the top right of the screen.

15Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

16Print the data from the computer.

Note

  • This function is effective when "Color" is selected in "81. Color Mode".

  • For RP-GL/2, the pen color settings are effective when "Machine Setting(s)" is selected in "40. Pen Setting Priority".
