This section describes the preparations and procedure for using the TWAIN scanner.
To use the TWAIN scanner, you must install the TWAIN driver, which is on the supplied CD-ROM. For the installation procedure of the TWAIN driver, see "Installing the Scanner Driver", Driver Installation Guide.
To use the TWAIN scanner, a TWAIN-compliant application must be installed on the client computer.
TWAIN scanner runs on a 64-bit operating system, but is not compatible with 64-bit applications. Use it with 32-bit applications.
To use this machine as a TWAIN scanner, you must first perform the following:
Configure the network settings in [System Settings] (when using the machine as a network TWAIN scanner)
Connect the machine to the computer using a USB cable (when using the machine as a USB TWAIN scanner)
Install the TWAIN driver on a client computer
Install a TWAIN-compliant application on the same client computer
