Sending Files to the FTP Server

This section explains how to specify destinations when sending files to an FTP server.

Press [Dest.:], and then select the setting items using the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key.

1Select [FTP] Press [OK]

2Enter a server name Press [OK]

Instead of the server name, you can also use its IPv4 address.

3If you change the port number specified under [System Settings], enter a new number using the number keys Press [OK]

4Enter the user name Press [OK]

5Enter the password Press [OK]

6Enter the path for the folder Press [OK]

The following is an example of a path where the folder name is "user" and the subfolder name is "lib":

user\lib

7Press [Com.Test]

A connection test is performed to check whether the specified shared folder exists.

If the message "Connection to PC failed. Check the settings." appears, see "Troubleshooting When Using the Scanner Function", Troubleshooting.

8Check the connection test result, and then press [Exit]

9Press [OK]

Note

  • The connection test may take time.

  • You may not be able to press [Com.Test] right after pressing [Cancel] during a connection test.

  • To modify or change an entered folder path, press [EditDest].

  • The machine may fail to transfer the file if you do not have write privileges for the folder or there is not enough free hard disk space.
