Specifying a Destination Path by Browsing the Network

Press [Dest.:], and then select the setting items using the [Down arrow key ] or [Up arrow key ] key.

1Select [SMB] Press [OK]

2Select [Browse Network] Press [OK]

3Select the domain or workgroup in which the destination folder is located Press [OK]

4Select the client computer that has the destination folder Press [OK]

If you cannot find the computer you are looking for, press [Up] and browse that level.

If authentication is required to access the selected computer, the authentication screen appears. To authenticate, enter the user name and password and then press [OK].

5Select the destination folder Press [Apply]

When the selected folder has sub-folders, the sub-folders list appears.

If you cannot find the destination folder, press [Up], and then search for the folder at that level.

6Press [OK]

7Press [Com.Test]

A connection test is performed to check whether the specified shared folder exists.

If the message "Connection to PC failed. Check the settings." appears, see "Troubleshooting When Using the Scanner Function", Troubleshooting.

8Check the connection test result Press [Exit]

9Press [OK]

Note

  • Up to 100 computers or shared folders can be displayed.

  • The machine may fail to transfer the file if you do not have the write privileges for the shared folder or there is not enough free hard disk space.
