Changing the Paper Size

This section describes how to change the paper size.

CAUTION

  • When loading paper, take care not to trap or injure your fingers.

Important

  • Do not stack paper over the limit mark.

  • Be sure to select the paper size with User Tools. If you do not, misfeeds might occur. For details about Tray Paper Size, see “System Settings”, Network and System Settings ReferenceIllustration indicating instructions stored on a CD-ROM.

  • Tray 1 and the LCT use only 81/2 × 11Portrait paper. If you want to load A4Portrait into Tray 1, or load A4Portrait or B5 JISPortrait into the LCT, contact your service representative.

  • The optional extension unit is required to load B4 JISLandscape, A4Landscape, 81/2 × 14Landscape, or 81/2 × 11Landscape into the LCT.

Note

  • Fan the paper before loading.

  • Straighten curled or warped paper before loading.
