- As of SmartDeviceMonitor for Client 8.6.0.0, separate installers
for 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows have been prepared.
- If you are using an older version of SmartDeviceMonitor for Client,
then we urge you to upgrade to this latest version.
- The full name of this product is DeskTopBinder-SmartDeviceMonitor
for Client.
For convenience, the product name is usually expressed in its shortened
form:
SmartDeviceMonitor for Client.
The name DeskTopBinder-SmartDeviceMonitor for Client can be used
interchangeably with SmartDeviceMonitor for Client and doesn't imply
any difference in functionality.
- If an older version SmartDeviceMonitor for Client has already
been installed on a PC, it can be safely overwritten with the current
version. None of the settings or logs will be lost.
- SmartDeviceMonitor for Client 64-bit performs all print operations properly.
However some communication functions of SmartDeviceMonitor for Client, such as bidirectional communication, will not work depending on the driver used.

- Our device monitoring software has been renamed from SmartNetMonitor
to SmartDeviceMonitor.
Operation of SmartDeviceMonitor is the same as SmartNetMonitor.
In case you already have SmartNetMonitor installed in your PC overwrite
it with SmartDeviceMonitor, software settings and log data will
be carried over.
- Please use v7 in the case of the environment using Windows 2000 or IPX/SPX.
