Printer Driver Editor

Printer Driver Editor is a DIY customization tool that can be used to modify the driver to fit specific needs and uses. Using Printer Driver Editor, driver settings can be assigned specific default values, be locked to certain values or have some of the selections for a setting removed. The Printer Driver Editor also has a Popup function. It can be used for example, to force users to enter their User ID by popping up a dialog box before printing.

Note

1.The functions that can be edited/locked vary by driver.
2.The pop-up function can only be enabled for PCL 6 drivers.
3.Drivers modified with Printer Driver Editor should not be installed on the same PC as an unmodified instance of the same driver. Please see the manual for the uninstallation procedure.
4.Use of Printer Driver Editor will invalidate the Microsoft logo certification of the driver. Therefore users might receive a warning during installation. If such a warning occurs, please ignore it and continue with the installation.
