Setup

The following table shows the list of setting items in the Fiery Settings hub[Setup]. You can configure the server, network, and security settings on the Fiery server.

Using the Fiery Settings Hub

Note

Each setting item shows the setting obtained from the Fiery controller.
When you change a setting, it will be applied when you restart the Fiery controller.

General

Setting Item	Description
Server	General Server Name Enter the server name of the Fiery controller. You can enter a string up to 15 bytes in length. Time Zone Specify the time zone to set on the Fiery controller. Adjust for daylight saving changes Select whether to apply the summertime or not. It may be inapplicable depending on the specified time zone. Set time automatically Select whether or not to obtain the time information from a network time server. Set Time Server Specify the time server from which to obtain time information. Change Password Select this to change the password of the system administrator of the Fiery controller. You can enter up to 19 bytes using alphanumeric characters.

General

Server Name
Enter the server name of the Fiery controller. You can enter a string up to 15 bytes in length.
Time Zone
Specify the time zone to set on the Fiery controller.
Adjust for daylight saving changes
Select whether to apply the summertime or not. It may be inapplicable depending on the specified time zone.
Set time automatically
Select whether or not to obtain the time information from a network time server.
Set Time Server
Specify the time server from which to obtain time information.

Change Password

Select this to change the password of the system administrator of the Fiery controller. You can enter up to 19 bytes using alphanumeric characters.

Network

Setting Item	Description
Ethernet	Ethernet Specify the communication speed of the Ethernet the machine is connected to. Specify the speed according to your environment.
IP Address	IP Address IPv4 Address Specify the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway of the Fiery controller. IPv6 Address Select whether to use IPv6.
DNS	Get DNS address automatically Select whether to obtain the DNS server address automatically. Primary DNS server, Secondary DNS server Enter the addresses of the primary and secondary DNS servers when specifying the address manually. Domain Name Enter the domain name. You can enter a string up to 80 bytes in length.
WINS	Use WINS Select whether to obtain the WINS server address automatically. WINS server IP address Enter the address of the WINS server when specifying the address manually. Netbios name Displays the NetBIOS name. Workgroup or Domain Enter the name of the workgroup or domain. You can enter a string of up to 15 alphanumeric characters. Comments Enter a comment. You can enter a string up to 64 bytes in length.
Web Services	Enable Web Services Select whether to use Web Service.
Remote Desktop	Enable Remote Desktop Select whether to use a remote desktop.

Security

Setting Item	Description
Filtering	Enable IP Filter Specify whether to use the IP filter.
802.1x	802.1x Authentication Select whether to use 802.1x authentication. Also, configure the following settings when using 802.1x authentication: Select EAP Type Select EAP type from [MD5-Challenge] or [PEAP-MSCHAPv2]. Username Specify the user name. You can enter a string up to 255 bytes in length. Password Specify the password. You can enter a string up to 255 bytes in length. Validate Server Certificate Select whether to authenticate server certificates.
Port Configuration	Enable Port Configuration Select whether to validate the following port numbers: Enable Port 80 Select whether to enable the port number "80" when the machine is connected to a network. Enable Port 443 Select whether to enable the port number "443" when the machine is connected to a network.
IPSec	Enable IPSec Specify whether to use IPSec. Also, configure the following items when using IPSec: Unsecure Communication Select whether to allow the use of an insecure communication protocol. Preshared key Specify the pre-shared key. You can enter a string up to 128 bytes in length.
