Changing Brightness and Color According to the Original
To change brightness or color of printings, set color variation or adjust color balance.
When you want to change the general settings for brightness or color, set the color variations. When you want to change each setting in detail, adjust the color balance.
Details for each item of color variation are as follows:
Setting | Details |
---|---|
Soft | Prints the color more softly. |
Sharp | Prints the color more sharply. |
Vivid | Prints the color more brightly and vividly. |
Deep | Prints the color more deeply. |
CLP Simulation | Prints the color blue more brightly and vividly. |
The color variation function is available on the PostScript 3 printer driver.
Setting Color Variation (Windows)
Configure the settings in the [Image Quality] tab.
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Orientation, Paper Type, and other settings.
In [Adjust Image Quality/Color] on the [Image Quality] tab, select [Advanced Settings] and click [Details...].
In [Color Profile:] on the [Adjust Image Quality/Color] tab, specify the color variations.
Click [OK].
After completing the configuration, click [OK] to print.
Setting Color Variation (macOS)
Configure the settings on the [Print Quality] menu in [Feature Sets] of [Printer Features].
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Orientation, Paper Type, and other settings.
Select [Printer Features].
Select [Print Quality] on [Feature Sets].
In [Color Profile], specify the color variations.
After completing the configuration, click [Print] to print.
Adjusting Color Balance (Windows)

In [Adjust Image Quality/Color] on the [Image Quality] tab, select [Advanced Settings] and click [Details...].
Adjust color balance in the [Color Balance] tab.
Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the image.
Contrast: Adjusts the difference between the bright parts and dark parts of the image.
Saturation: Adjusts the vividness of the image.
Adjust Each Color: Adjusts tone for red, green, and blue.
Click [OK].
After completing the configuration, click [OK] to print.
Adjusting Color Balance (macOS)
Configure the settings on the [Color Balance Details] menu in [Feature Sets] of [Printer Features].
Open a document to print on the computer, and display the setting screen of the printer driver from the print menu in the application.
Specify Orientation, Paper Type, and other settings.
Select [Printer Features].
Adjust color balance in [Color Balance Details] on [Feature Sets].
Brightness: Adjusts the brightness of the image.
Contrast: Adjusts the difference between the bright parts and dark parts of the image.
Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow: Adjusts tone for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow.
After completing the configuration, click [Print] to print.
