Setting Items

Description

Menu Protect

Limits changes to the default settings by unauthorized users to prevent unintended printing. For details, see the following section:

Specifying Menu Protect

List / Test Print Lock

You can specify whether to prohibit test printing by unauthorized users when Administrator Authentication is specified.

  • Default: [Off]

Delete All Temporary Print Jobs

You can delete all Sample Print, Locked Print, and Hold Print files temporarily stored in this machine.

Delete All Stored Print Jobs

You can delete Stored Print files stored in this machine.

Auto Delete Temporary Print Jobs

You can specify whether to automatically delete all Sample Print, Locked Print, and Hold Print files temporarily stored in this machine. Hold Print files that have a valid print time cannot be deleted automatically.

If you select [On], you can specify up to 200 hours for auto file deleting.

  • Default: [Off]

Auto Delete Stored Print Jobs

You can specify whether to automatically delete Stored Print files stored in this machine.

If you select [On], you can specify up to 180 days for auto file deleting.

  • Default: [On], [3 days]

Print Job Function

When [Document Server Function] of [System Settings][Administrator Tools] tab is set to Off, you can specify whether to disable printing Stored Print files or files temporarily stored in the machine on the printer driver.

  • Default: [Same as System Settings]

Tray Parameters (PCL)

Tray Parameters (PS)

You can configure the settings to change the paper tray parameters used for PCL or PostScript printing. You can specify this function if the machine is replaced with another manufacturer's machine for output without a printer driver in the basic system.

The tray parameter for different paper trays depends on the manufacturer. For example, if the Tray 1 parameter for the used machine is "4", specify "4" for Tray 1.
