Setting Items

Description

Parameter Setting

Configure the various functions according to the usage status.

Changing the Parameter Settings

Select Dial / Push Phone

Specify the type of the telephone line. If you are not certain of the line type, consult your telephone service provider. If this setting is not configured correctly, you can receive faxes but may not be able to send them.

  • Default: [Push Button Phone]

Program Fax Information

Register the machine information (Fax Header and Own Fax Number) to show on the device and output sheet at the destination.

Printing the Fax Header on the Fax Received at the Destination

Menu Protect

Specify the level of access privilege to allow changing the settings for the functions that can be changed by non-administrative users.

Country / Region (For Func. Settings)

Select the country/region in which the machine is used. The country/region you specify determines the time and date display format and the default values of the fax transmission-related settings.

Be sure to select the country/region correctly. Selecting a wrong country/region may cause failures when sending or receiving faxes.

G3 FAX Line Detection Setting

Specify whether to detect if a fax line is connected and display a message on the control panel.

The default setting is Off, but the setting changes automatically to [On] after you send or receive a fax even once. If the setting changes automatically to On and you then change it to Off, the setting will not change automatically to [On] thereafter.

  • Default: [Off]

Super G3 Communication Settings

Specify whether to use Super G3 communication on each G3 fax line.

  • Default: [On]
