Security

Setting for Entering Authentication Password

  • Characters to be Used for Entering a Password

    Specify whether or not to allow double-byte characters to be used for passwords.

    • Only 1 Byte Characters

    • 1 Byte and 2 Byte Characters

    Default: [Only 1 Byte Characters]

Trusted credentials

Specify whether or not to use the following certificates:

  • Certificates installed in the system

  • Certificates installed from an SD card

Install from SD card

Install certificates from an SD card to the credential storage on the control panel.

Clear credentials

You can delete all data stored in the credential storage. The password is also reset.

Language & input

Select Switchable Languages

You can set the display languages that can be changed.

Depending on the destination, the default value is changed.

The following languages can be set: [Japanese], [English], [French], [German], [Italian], [Spanish], [Dutch], [Norwegian], [Danish], [Swedish], [Polish], [Portuguese], [Hungarian], [Czech], [Finnish], [Simplified Chinese], [Traditional Chinese], [Thai], [Russian], [Greek], [Korean], [Catalan], [Turkish], and [Brazilian Portuguese]

Change Language

Select the display language from languages set up in [Select Switchable Languages].

Personal dictionary

You can register words in the user dictionary to display them as input candidates.

Press [ADD] on the top right of the screen and register words.

Default

Select the type of keyboard to use.

Default: [Screen Keyboard]

  • Screen Keyboard

    • Input languages

      Select the input language.

      Default: [Use system language]

    • Auto-capitalization

      Specify whether or not to capitalize the first character of sentences automatically. This function is available for alphabets.

      Default: [ON]

    • Auto-correction

      Specify whether or not to correct misspelled words automatically when you type spaces or punctuation.

      Default: [Off]

    • Show correction suggestions

      Specify whether or not to display input candidates to correct typing errors.

      Default: [Always hide]

    • Advanced settings

      • Custom input styles

        Specify the key layout for each language. The specified key layout is added to the input language list, and you can use them by selecting the language.

        The key layouts you can specify are: QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY, Dvorak, Colemak, and PC.

  • iWnn IME

    • Input languages

      Select the input language.

      Default: [Use system language]

    • Display

      • Keyboard type

        Select the keyboard type from [QWERTY keyboard] or [10-key keyboard] for each input mode. The default is [QWERTY keyboard] for all input modes.

      • Key size

        Specify the height of keys on the keyboard.

        Default: [100%]

      • Display language switch key

        Specify whether or not to display the language switch key on the keyboard. You can switch the language of iWnn IME keyboard by the language switch key.

        Default: [ON]

      • Switch to other input methods

        Specify whether or not to change the input method other than iWnn IME by the language switch key.

        Default: [OFF]

      • Lines of candidate area

        Specify the number of lines of input candidates for conversion or connection prediction to display them as you type.

        Default: [1]

    • Prediction/Conversion

      • Japanese word prediction

        Specify whether or not to display the input candidates for conversion or connection prediction when in Japanese character input mode.

        Default: [ON]

      • Japanese wildcard prediction

        Specify whether or not to display the candidates for conversion or connection prediction from a number of characters when in Japanese character input mode.

        Default: [ON]

      • Word prediction

        Specify whether or not to display the candidates for conversion or connection prediction when in alphanumeric character input mode.

        Default: [ON]

      • Wildcard prediction

        Specify whether or not to display the candidates for conversion or connection prediction from a number of characters when in alphanumeric character input mode.

        Default: [ON]

      • Typing error correction

        Specify whether or not to display input candidates to adjacent characters when in alphanumeric character input mode.

        Default: [ON]

      • Auto space input

        Specify whether or not to insert a space automatically after typing a word.

        Default: [ON]

      • Auto capitalization

        Specify whether or not to capitalize the first character of sentences automatically when in alphanumeric character input mode. This function is available for alphabets.

        Default: [ON]

    • Key operation

      • Sound on key press

        Specify whether or not key operations produce a beep.

        Default: [OFF]

      • Key preview

        Specify whether or not to enable key pop-up displays when you press keys.

        Default: [ON]

      • Flick input

        Specify whether or not to enable flick input when you type in 10-key keyboard.

        Default: [ON]

      • Flick sensitivity

        Adjust the flick sensitivity of 10-key keyboard. This setting can be configured when [Flick input] is enabled.

      • Toggle input

        Specify whether or not to enable toggle input in 10-key keyboard. This setting can be configured when [Flick input] is enabled.

        Default: [ON]

      • Auto cursor movement

        Select the speed for the auto cursor movement of 10-key keyboard. This setting can be configured when [Flick input] is disabled or [Toggle input] is enabled.

        Default: [Normal]

    • Others

      • Reset settings

        Initialize the settings specified in [iWnn IME]. However, the contents of the user dictionary are not initialized.
