Limiting Available Functions
To prevent unauthorized operations, you can specify who is allowed to access each of the machine's functions.
Specify the functions available to registered users. By configuring this setting, you can limit the functions available to users.
You can place limitations on the use of the copier, Document Server, fax, scanner, printer, browser functions, and extended features.
Log in as the user administrator from the control panel.
Press [Exit].

Press [Address Book Management].
Select the user.
Press [Auth. Info].
Press [
Next] twice.
In "Available Functions", select the functions you want to specify.
Press [OK].
Log out.

The available functions can also be limited for users in [Address Book] under "Configuration" in Web Image Monitor controlled from networked computers. (Web Image Monitor is a management tool installed on this machine to monitor this machine or configure settings for this machine by using a web browser.) For details, see Web Image Monitor Help.
