Settings You Can Configure Using the Control Panel

Use the [Menu] key on the machine to configure the security settings shown in the following table.

Security Options	Network Security Level	Level 2 To acquire the machine status using the printer driver or Web Image Monitor controlled from networked computers, enable "SNMP" on Web Image Monitor. (Web Image Monitor is a management tool installed on this machine to monitor this machine or configure settings for this machine by using a web browser.) See Specifying Network Security Levels.
Security Options	Service Mode Lock	[On] See Restricting a Customer Engineer Operation.
Security Options	Machine Data Encryption	Select [Encrypt], and then select [Carry Over All Data]. If [Encrypt] has already been selected, further encryption settings are not necessary. See Encrypting Data on the Machine.
