Preparing for Replacing Maintenance Kit
If “Repl Requrd Soon:Maint. Kit” appears on the screen, have a replacement maintenance kit at hand.
“Replacmnt Requrd:Maint. Kit” screen appears when the maintenance kit needs to be replaced. See How to Replace the Transfer Roller, How to Replace the Dustproof Filter, and How to Replace the Fusing Unit or the instructions supplied with new maintenance kit to replace it.
When replacing the maintenance kit, take the following precautions:
Keep enough space for placing used maintenance kit and replacement maintenance kit.
Prepare a new maintenance kit.
Work on tarpaulin sheets or cloths that can get dirty, and wear gloves and an apron, not to get your hands, clothes, or desk dirty.
