Preparing for Replacing the Drum Unit
If “Rplcmnt Rqrd Soon:Drum Unit” appears on the screen, have a replacement drum unit at hand.
“Replacmnt Requird:Drum Unit” appears on the screen when the drum unit needs to be replaced. See How to Replace the Drum Unit or the instructions supplied with new drum unit to replace it.
When replacing the drum unit, take the following precautions:
Keep enough space for placing used drum unit and replacement drum unit.
Prepare a new drum unit.
Work on tarpaulin sheets or cloths that can get dirty, and wear gloves and an apron, not to get your hands, clothes, or desk dirty.
