SMBv3 Extended Functions setting

  • In advance, enable [SMBv2/SMBv3] in [SMB].

  • Set [SMBv3 Extended Functions] to [Active] to enable setting of authentication levels, sending data to a folder in an encrypted server, and transmission via SMBv3.0.2 and SMBv3.1.1.

  • You can configure this setting in [Settings][System Settings][Network/Interface][SMB][SMB Client Advanced Settings][SMBv3 Extended Functions] on the control panel.

  • Restart the machine after changing the setting.

  • [SMBv3 Extended Functions] is disabled in the factory-default configuration.

  • If you select [Inactive] in [SMBv2/SMBv3] after selecting [Active] in [SMBv3 Extended Functions], SMBv3 Extended Functions will be disabled. However, the [SMBv3 Extended Functions] setting will still be displayed as [Active].

[SMBv3 Extended Functions] is not displayed on IM 2500/3000/3500/4000/5000/6000 series. Regardless of the version of RICOH Always Current Technology installed, these machines support functions that are described below.

Authentication level setting

  • Configure this in [Network][SMB][Advanced Settings][Authentication Level] using Web Image Monitor.

  • When [Level 4: Kerberos Authentication] is selected, you can send scanned data to a computer that belongs to the domain and whose computer name is 15 characters or less.
