New Document Server Application (Printing Documents)

You can print documents saved in the document server with the same settings as when the documents were scanned, or you can change the print settings, or specify which pages to print. You can also confirm the contents of the document on the preview screen before printing the document.

IM C530 series does not support this function.

Screen display may differ from your model.

Note

  • You can print a document in the document server using Web Image Monitor.

Checking Information about Documents in Document Server

Select a document on the [Print File] screen and press [Preview/Details] to confirm the contents of the document on the screen.

  1. (Return)

    Press to close the preview screen and return to the previous screen.

  2. Switch page (to the previous or next)

    Displayed when the selected document has two or more pages. Press to return to the previous page and to proceed to the next page.

  3. Name of the displayed document

    Displays the file name of the documents being previewed, the order in which the documents were selected, and the total number of selected documents.

    Pressing this key displays all file names of selected documents. You can preview a document by pressing its file name.

  4. Page information/Switch page

    The total pages of the document being previewed and the current page number are displayed here. To see other pages, press this key, enter a page number with the number keys, and then press [Done].

  5. Enlarge/reduce

    Press to enlarge or reduce the preview.

  6. Preview of a document

    To enlarge the preview, tap twice at the center of the area you want to enlarge. To change the displayed area in the enlarged preview, slide your finger on the displayed document. Pinching the preview image in and out also reduces and enlarges it.

    When a preview is enlarged, "Name of the displayed document" key and "Page information/Switch page" key are hidden.

  7. [Sample Copy]

    Press to make a partial copy as a test before proceeding to copy the rest of the original.

  8. Information of document

    Displays document information, such as file name and other information. When you press [Detail], more detailed information about the document, such as user name, and or date/time saved, is displayed.

Printing Documents in Document Server

To use the following setting items, use [Document Server (Classic)]:

  • Cover Sheet

  • Slip Sheet

  • Designate / Chapter

Printing a document with the settings specified when scanned

Important

  • When printing two or more documents at a time, the print settings specified for the first document are applied to all the remaining documents.

  • Some of the selected documents may not be printed due to the difference in the size or resolution.

1On the Home screen, press [Document Server].

3Select a folder.

  • Press [Search Folder] to search for a folder by folder name or number.

  • If you select a password-protected folder, enter the password, and then press [OK].

4Select the document to print.

  • Press [Search File] to search for a document by document name or user name.

  • If the document is password protected, enter the password and press [OK].

  • To print two or more copies, press [Quantity], and then enter the quantity using the number keys.

  • If you select multiple documents, the documents are printed in the order you select them. You can select up to 30 documents.

  • When you select [Printing Order] in the menu to the right of the folder name after selecting multiple documents, the selected documents are displayed in the order they are print.

  • Press [Selected File:] to display only the documents that you have selected.

  • Press thumbnails icon illustration/list icon illustration to change the type of display to thumbnails or a list.

5Press [Start].

Note

  • To stop printing, press the [Stop], and then press [Cancel Printing].

  • You can change the number of sets during printing. This function can be used only when the Sort function is selected in the printing conditions. To change the quantity while printing is in progress, press [Stop], enter the quantity, and then press [Resume Printing]. The quantity you can enter differs depending on when you press [Stop].

Printing a document with settings changed

Important

  • When you select two or more documents to change the print settings, the first document keeps the changed contents after printing. The second document and later documents do not keep the changed contents and instead keep the settings of when they were saved.

  • If you select a password-protected folder, enter the password, and then press [OK].

4Select the document to print, and then press [Print Settings].

  • If the document is password protected, enter the password and press [OK].

  • To print two or more copies, press [Quantity], and then enter the quantity using the number keys.

5Change the print settings.

  • When specifying Sort/Rotate Sort in [Finishing], you can make a set of prints as a test and print the rest by pressing [Preview/Details][Sample Copy].

  • Press to return to the screen for selecting documents.

6Press [Start].

Specifying a page to print

1On the Home screen, press [Document Server].

4Select the document to print, and then press [Print Settings].

  • If the document is password protected, enter the password and press [OK].

  • To print two or more copies, press [Quantity], and then enter the quantity using the number keys.

5Press [Print Specified Page].

6Specify the page to print.

  • Specify Page: Enter the page to print.

  • Specify Range: Enter the page printing starts in "Start Page" and the page printing ends in "End Page".

  • Select Tray: Select a paper tray to use for printing.

7Press [Start].
