Basic Procedure
To make copies of originals, place them on the exposure glass or in the ADF.
When placing the original on the exposure glass, start with the first page to be copied. When placing the original in the ADF, place them so that the first page is on the top.

To copy onto paper other than plain paper, specify the paper type in Settings according to the type of the paper you are using. For details, see User Guide of your device.

Press [Home] (
) at the bottom of the screen in the center.Press the [Copier (Classic)] icon.
If the icon is not displayed on the Home screen, add the icon from the Application list screen. For details about how to add icons to the [Home] screen, see User Guide of your device.Make sure that no previous settings remain.
When there are previous settings remaining, press [Reset].Select the paper tray containing the paper that is the same size and orientation as the originals.
Make sure that [Use Paper Tray Settg] is selected in [Original Size] under [Original Settings].
[Use Paper Tray Settg] is not displayed if paper sizes are detected automatically.
When [Use Paper Tray Settg] is selected, the paper size and orientation of the tray you have selected will appear in [Original Settng].Place the originals.
Make desired settings.
Enter the number of copies with the number keys.
The maximum copy quantity that can be entered is 999.Press [Start].
To stop the machine during a multi-copy run, press [Stop].
When placing the original on the exposure glass, press [
] after all originals are scanned. Some functions such as Batch mode may require that you press [
] when placing originals in the ADF. Follow the messages that appear on screen.When the copy job is finished, press [Reset].
To cancel all copy functions and return the machine to the default condition.

The login screen is displayed when the user authentication setting is specified. You need to log in to use the machine. For details about how to log in, see User Guide of your device. After logging in the machine, be sure to log out of it to prevent unauthorized usage.

Certain types of OHP transparencies for color printing cannot be used. For details about types that can be used, contact your sales or service representative.
If the machine you are using cannot detect the size of original automatically, specify the original size. However, if [Use Paper Tray Settg] is specified in [Original Size], you do not have to specify the size of the original.
Specify the size and orientation of originals when copying onto paper whose size or orientation is different from that of the originals.
Certain functions require you to specify the size of the originals. For details, see the procedures of the function that you want to use.
You can change the maximum copy quantity in the following settings. For details, see User Guide of your device.

When using a wide format printer, you can use High Speed Copy function. For details, see the following section:
Some functions cannot be used at the same time. The order in which these functions are selected determines which functions are valid.

Use this function if you want to interrupt a long copy job to make urgently needed copies.

You cannot use the Interrupt Copy function when fax originals are being scanned.
Press [Interrupt mode].
Remove the originals that were being copied.
Place the originals you want to copy.
Press [Start].
The machine starts making copies.When copying is complete, remove the originals and copies.
Press [Interrupt mode].
Replace the originals that you were copying, and then press [Start].
Follow the instructions on the screen.
The previous copy job settings are restored. Simply press [Start] to continue copying from where it left off.
If you make settings and scan originals while the machine is busy, your copies will be made once the machine is ready.
Make your settings while Select copy mode and press the Start key. and Scanning originals can be started. are displayed alternately.
Place the original.
Press [Start].
The machine scans the original.
[Start] flashes when scanning the originals is complete.
Copying starts automatically once the machine is ready.
You can make settings for the next copy job during copying.
You can preset up to eight jobs each for the Classic Copier function and the Document Server function. When the current copy job is finished, the next job will start automatically.
Press [New Job] when Copying... appears.

Be sure message Ready appears, and then make settings for the next copy job.
Place the originals, and then press [Start].
All originals are scanned.
When the preset job is complete, a job preset confirmation dialog box appears.Press [Exit].
After the current copy job, the next copy job starts automatically.

You can switch the screen to the current copy job by pressing [To Copying Screen]. You can switch the screen to the preset job by pressing [To Reserv. Screen].
Preset copy jobs are registered under job numbers in the reservation screen.
You can confirm and delete preset jobs.
