When printing is performed on one side to deliver the paper with its printed side face down, the paper is bent at corners when it is turned over. This problem occurs when thin paper of 52.3-80 g/m2 is used. Paper bent at corners will be delivered.
Decurling method
Specify "U Curl Correction Level" to deliver the paper along the switch back guide plate.
<If adjusting the setting in "Adjustment Settings for Operators">
In the 03: [Machine: Paper Feed/ Output] group on the [Adjustment Settings for Operators] menu, select 0302: [Correct Output Paper Curl: 1 Sided: Face Down].
Select [The paper tray' name].
For example, to decurl the paper fed from Tray 1, select [Tray 1].
Select [U Curl Correction Level: Small], [U Curl Correction Level: Medium], or [U Curl Correction Level: Large].
< If adjusting the setting in "Advanced Settings" for the custom paper you are using>
In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper, select 1331: [Correct Paper Curl].
Select [5: U Curl Correction Level: Small], [6: U Curl Correction Level: Medium], or [7: U Curl Correction Level: Large].
Select the degree of decurling from "Small", "Medium", and "Large" according to the degree of curling. If you cannot assess the degree of curling, try decurling in the order of "Small", "Medium", and "Large". Decurling more than necessary may cause a paper jam, scratches, or sheets being bent at corners.
If adjusting the setting in [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper you are using, register the paper to use as the custom paper in advance.
