Carry out the following sequence of procedures. Terminate the sequence as soon as the problem is resolved.
Procedure 1: Decrease the nip width
In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper, select 1246: [Fusing Nip Width], and then set [Nip Width] to "3".
Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?
Yes | Finished! |
No | Set [Nip Width] to "2". |
Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?
Yes | Finished! |
No | Proceed to "Procedure 2: Increase the fusing heat roller temperature". |
Procedure 2: Increase the fusing heat roller temperature
In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper, adjust the fusing heat roller temperature.
<Printing in full color>
Select 1241: [Fusing Temperature], and then increase the value in [Heat Roller Temp] of [FC] by 5°C.
<Printing in black and white>
Select 1241: [Fusing Temperature], and then increase the value in [Heat Roller Temp] of [BW] by 5°C.
Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?
Yes | Finished! |
No | Increase the value by 5 degrees in [Heat Roller Temp]. If the problem persists even though you have increased the value by 185 degrees, contact your service representative. |
