The solution depends on whether the area within 127 mm (5 inches) of the trailing edge is denser or fainter.
If you are using a registered custom paper and you have already changed the value in [Paper Transfer Roller] of 1331: [Motor Speed], change the value in [Transfer Timing Roller] and check the image before performing this procedure. In [Advanced Settings] for the custom paper, select 1331: [Motor Speed], and then check the present value in [Transfer Timing Roller]. Is it lower than -0.5%?
Yes | Proceed to Step 3. |
No | Decrease the value by -0.1 percentage point. |
Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?
Yes | Finished! |
No | Repeat Steps 1 and 2. If the problem persists even though you have decreased the value to -0.5%, set to the optimum value so far, and then proceed to Step 3. |
Check the present value in 1229: [Paper Transfer Pressure]. Is it set to [Pressure 4]?
Yes | Proceed to Step 5. |
No | Increase the value in 1229: [Paper Transfer Pressure] by 1 level. |
Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?
Yes | Finished! |
No | Repeat Steps 3 and 4. If the problem persists even though you have increased the value to [Pressure 4], proceed to the next step. |
Select 1331: [Motor Speed], and then decrease the value in [Transfer Timing Roller] by -0.1 percentage point.
Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?
Yes | Finished! |
No | Repeat Steps 5 and 6. If the problem persists even though you have decreased the value to -0.5%, contact your service representative. |
