Changing Modes by Pressing the Function Keys

You can switch modes by pressing the function keys on the top of the screen.

  1. Function Keys

    You can use the function keys when [Function Key] in Screen Features is enabled. See "Screen Features", Device Management.

    [Printer Status], [Tray Paper Settings] and [Adjustment Settings for Operators] are fixed items, and cannot be changed. For detail about each function, see [Printer Status] Screen, Tray Paper Settings, and "Adjustment Settings for Operators", Maintenance and Management.

    You can assign frequently used functions to the 6 other keys to the right.

You can register often used functions to the function keys by using the following procedure:

1Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

2Press the [User Tools] icon (Operation panel screen illustration).

3Press [Screen Features].

4Press [Screen Device Settings].

5Press [Function Key Settings].

6Select the [Function Key] check box.

7Select from [Function Key 1]-[Function Key 6] to which you want to assign a function.

8Press [Allocated Function].

9Select a function you want to register from the list.

10Press [Display Name].

11Enter the function name to display on the key.

12Press [OK].

13Press [Home] (Operation panel screen illustration) at the bottom of the screen in the center.

The function key is registered to the top of the screen.
