This section describes the preparations and procedure for using the network or USB TWAIN scanner.
To use the TWAIN scanner, you must install the TWAIN driver, which is on the supplied CD-ROM. For the installation procedure of the TWAIN driver, see "Installing the TWAIN/WIA Driver", Setup Guide.
To use the TWAIN scanner, a TWAIN-compliant application must be installed on the client computer.
TWAIN scanner runs on a 64-bit operating system, but is not compatible with 64-bit applications. Use it with 32-bit applications.
To use this machine as a TWAIN scanner, you must first perform the following:
Configure the network settings in [System Settings] (Only for network TWAIN scanner)
Install the TWAIN driver on a client computer
Install a TWAIN-compliant application on the same client computer
