Keys that appear on the initial settings screen

The display panel shows the operation status, messages, and function menus.

The function items displayed serve as selector keys. You can select or specify an item by lightly pressing them.

When you select or specify an item on the display panel, it is highlighted like Operation panel screen illustration. Keys appearing as Operation panel screen illustration cannot be used.

  1. Function screen

    Each function has a different screen.

  2. [User Tools]

    Press this to use the following items:

    • Screen Features

      Press to customize the default settings of the operating system installed on the control panel. See "Screen Features", Connecting the Machine/System Settings.

    • Machine Features

      Press to customize the default settings of the machine system. You can also customize the default settings of the copier, facsimile, printer, and scanner function. See "Accessing User Tools", Connecting the Machine/System Settings.

    • Counter

      Press to check or print the counter value. See Counter.

    • Inquiry

      Press to find out where to order expendable supplies and where to call when a malfunction occurs.

    • Address Book Management

      Press to display the Address Book.

    • Tray Paper Settings

      Press to make settings for paper trays and paper status.

    • Basic Settings When Installing

      Press to configure the basic/network/fax settings required when installing.

    • Basic Settings for Extended Devices

      When installing the settings application additionally, you can display the settings screen to configure.

  3. [Reset]

    Press to clear the current settings.

  4. [Sharp] (Enter)

    Press to confirm values entered or items specified.

  5. [Clear]

    Press to delete a number entered.

  6. [Start]

    Press to start copying, printing, scanning, or sending.

  7. Number keys

    Use to enter the numbers for copies, fax numbers and data for the selected function.
