Point to [Device Management], and then click [Configuration].
Click [Network Security] under "Security".
Click [Encryption Only] in the "Permit SNMPv3 Communication" area of the "SNMP" section, and then click [OK].
Log out.
Log in as the network administrator from the control panel.
Display the “Permit SSL/TLS Communication” screen.
[System Settings] |
Specify SNMPv3 encryption.
[Encryption Only] |
Log out.
To use Device Manager NX for encrypting the data for specifying settings, you need to specify the network administrator's Encryption Password setting and Encryption Password in SNMP Authentication Information in Device Manager NX, in addition to specifying Permit SNMPv3 Communication on the printer. For details about specifying Encryption Password in Device Manager NX, see Device Manager NX Help.
If network administrator's [Encryption Password] setting is not specified, the data for transmission may not be encrypted or sent. For details about specifying the network administrator's [Encryption Password] setting, see Registering and Changing Administrators.
This can also be specified via Web Image Monitor. For details, see the procedure for SP C340DN.
