Use the following procedure to enable SSL encryption for SMTP connections.
Log in as the network administrator from Web Image Monitor.
Point to [Device Management], and then click [Configuration].
Click [Email] under "Device Settings".
Click [On] for "Use Secure Connection (SSL)" in the "SMTP" section.
If you are not using SSL for SMTP connections, click [Off].
Click [OK].
Log out.
Log in as the network administrator from the control panel.
Display the “SMTP Server” screen.
[System Settings] |
Enable SSL.
[On] under “Use Secure Connection (SSL)” |
If you are not using SSL for SMTP connections, press [Off].
When “Use Secure Connection (SSL)” is set to [On], the port number is changed to 465.
Log out.
