Limiting Available Functions

To prevent unauthorized operation, you can specify who is allowed to access each of the printer's functions.

Available Functions

  • Color/Black&White

  • Black & White

  • None

  • Extended Features

Specify the functions available to registered users. By making this setting, you can limit the functions available to users.

1Log in as the user administrator from Web Image Monitor.

2Point to [Device Management], and then click [Address Book].

3Select the user you want to specify in the address list.

4Click [Detail Input], and then click [Change].

5Specify the [Available Functions], and then click [OK].

6Log out.

1Log in as the user administrator from the control panel.

2Select the user whose access to printer functions you want to restrict.

[Address Book Mangmnt] [Change] [All Users] Select the user

3Select the functions you want to permit.

[Auth. Info] [Available Printer Functions] Select the functions you want to permit [OK] [Exit] [OK]

4Log out.
