Menu Protect allows you to limit user permission to access the printer settings menu. This setting can be used regardless of user authentication. To change the Menu Protect setting, first, enable administrator authentication. For details about how to set administrator authentication, see Configuring Administrator Authentication.

If you want to enable "Menu Protect", specify it to [Level 1] or [Level 2]. Select [Level 2] to impose stricter restrictions on users' access permission to the printer settings.
If you want to disable "Menu Protect", specify it to [Off].
Press the [Menu] key, and then select setting items using the [] or [
] key.
Log in as the machine administrator from the printer's control panel.
Select [Maintenance]
Press [OK]
Select [General Settings]
Press [OK]
Select [Menu Protect]
Press [OK]
Select the menu protect level
Press [OK]
Press [Menu] twice.
Log out.
Log in as the machine administrator from the control panel.
Display the screen for configuring the Menu Protect setting.
