Specifying an IP address (no DHCP)

If you want to use the printer on a network without using DHCP or want to use a static IP address, use the following procedure to assign a specific IPv4 address to the printer. Before making any changes, contact your network administrator to obtain the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address to be specified on the printer.

Press the [Menu] key, and then select the setting items using the [Down arrow key] or [Up arrow key] key.

1Select [Host Interface] Press [OK]

2Select [Network] Press [OK]

3Select [Effective Protocol] Press [OK]

4Select [IPv4] Press [OK]

5Select [Active] Press [OK] Press [Escape]

Set other protocols you need to set in the same way.

6Select [Machine IPv4 Address] Press [OK]

7Select [Specify] Press [IP Add.] Specify the IPv4 address for the printer Press [OK]

8Press [Subnet M] and [Gateway] to specify the subnet mask and gateway address in the same manner.

9Make sure [Specify] is selected Press [OK]

1Press the [User Tools] key, and then display the [Network] screen.

[System Settings] [Interface Settings] [Network]

2Enable IPv4 protocol, and then specify the IPv4 address.

  • [Effective Protocol]

    Enable IPv4 protocol.

    Press [Active] under "IPv4" [OK]

  • [Machine IPv4 Address]

    Specify the printer's IPv4 address and subnet mask.

    [Specify] [Machine IPv4 Address] Enter the IP address [OK] [Subnet Mask] Enter the subnet mask [OK] [OK]

  • [IPv4 Gateway Address]

    Specify the IPv4 gateway address for the printer.

    Enter the gateway address [OK]
