Menu Protect

You can prevent unauthenticated users from changing the user tools. Menu Protect can be specified for each of the following user tools menus.

List / Test Print Lock

When [On] is set, you can lock the [List / Test Print] items.

For details about [List / Test Print] privileges, see "Printer Features", Security Guide.

Delete All Temporary Print Jobs

You can delete all Sample Print, Locked Print, and Hold Print files temporarily stored in this machine.

Delete All Stored Print Jobs

You can delete all Stored Print files stored in this machine.

Auto Delete Temporary Print Jobs

You can specify whether to automatically delete Sample Print, Locked Print, and Hold Print files temporarily stored in this machine. Hold Print files that have valid print time cannot be deleted automatically.

Default: [Off]

If you select [On], you can set up to 200 hours for auto file deleting (Default: "8").

Auto Delete Stored Print Jobs

You can specify whether to automatically delete Stored Print files temporarily stored in this machine.

Default: [On], "3" day(s)

If you select [On], you can set up to 180 days for auto file deleting.

Print Job Function

When [Document Server Function] in [System Settings] is disabled, specify whether or not to enable printing from the [Print Jobs] tab.

  • On

    Printing of jobs from the [Print Jobs] tab is enabled.

  • Same as System Settings

    Printing of jobs stored in the machine from the [Print Jobs] tab is disabled.

Default: [Same as System Settings]

Tray Parameters

If the machine is replaced with another manufacturer's machine, use the previous machine's tray parameters. You can register up to three tray parameters. You cannot specify the same tray parameter for different paper trays.

  • Tray Parameters (PCL)

    You can configure settings to change paper tray parameters used for PCL printing. You can specify the settings for the installed trays and the Auto Tray Select function.

  • Tray Parameters (PS)

    You can configure settings to change paper tray parameters used for PostScript printing. You can specify the settings for the installed trays only.
