Connecting a Device to the Machine's USB Host Interface

This section explains how to connect a device to the machine's USB host interface.

CAUTION


  • Properly shielded and grounded cables and connectors must be used for connections to a host computer (and/or peripheral) in order to meet emission limits.


  • Connect any of the following devices to the USB 2.0 interface: USB keyboards, and IC card readers. Connecting other devices may cause a malfunction.

1Connect one end of the USB interface device to the machine's USB host interface.

If you are using a USB interface cable, connect the other end of it to a device such as card authentication one.

Note

  • This machine does not come with a USB interface cable. Make sure you purchase the appropriate cable for the machine (connector shape) and the device.

  • Use a 5 m (197 inches) or shorter cable which supports USB Host Interface.
